On a recent trolling tour of the Elgin St Thomas Ontario Library I hauled up the book "the Future of Capitalism". It exposes the greed of politicians, markets, and multinational corporations. The result is divisive disruptive political factions. The people with little and the marginalized struggling while the obscenely wealthy cast a blind eye. Paul Collier proposes that the state, corporations, family and the world become more ethical so that the inequalities are eradicated.

During my high school years about 1965 I became curious about the role of Ethics. I visited Lawson's Christian bookstore in Owen Sound. Mr. Lawson explained that he had several books on ethics, but they were all multiple versions of the Bible. Ask a political leader or a CEO (who collects 300 times the income of individuals in the corporation that bring the revenue) to be more ethical they might reply ”Huh, what for?” God through the Bible gives a much different answer. Which one do you think will prevail?
